Organizing a community run is a great growth step once your club has a core group.
Checklist
- Goal: social 5K, charity fundraiser, or pace practice?
- Route: measured, safe crossings, water access if needed
- Time: publish at least one week ahead
- Roles: greeter, sweeper, photographer (optional)
- Backup: weather call-off rule and a shared contact channel
Promote without spam
Post the event on RunClub, share in your club page, and invite neighboring groups politely.
Day-of flow
Arrive early, brief the group, start on time, celebrate finishers, and collect one piece of feedback for next time.
After the run
Thank volunteers, publish photos if people consented, and schedule the next meetup while energy is high. For more structure, read how to start a run club.
